House prices in the Metropolitan Region of Copenhagen, 1992-2010

Below a graph showing the development of the average price for a house or an appartment in the Metropolitan Region of Copenhagen. The data is shown by counties until 2006. With the structural reform in 2007 the counties were abolished and no more data on that spatial level is collected. The closest to the old counties are new statistical regions called “landsdel” which I used to illustrate the data after 2006.

You can see the incredible rise of house prices since the mid of the 1990ties until the finanical crisis stopped that development in 2007. Since then some consolidation is happening on the housing market. No data for 2011 is available yet.
